The Story Behind Our Bird
The NFFLA bird is inspired by Odin’s ravens, Huginn and Muninn, who flew across the world each day and returned carrying stories, knowledge and memories.
Our bird represents that same journey. It travels between the Nordic countries and Los Angeles, carrying new voices, cinematic visions and cultural ideas across borders.
It is a symbol of curiosity, connection and storytelling—and of the festival’s mission to bring the imagination of Nordic cinema to audiences in Los Angeles.
